## What This Is

Golden Trade Challenge 2026 is a prize competition under UK law where participants predict the price movement of global assets (Gold, Bitcoin, S&P 500, Forex pairs, and more). The participant with the best average prediction accuracy wins a physical gold coin.

This is a prediction game — not trading, not investing, not gambling.

No real assets are bought, sold, or exchanged. No user funds are placed in markets. The only financial transaction is the fixed entry fee paid via Stripe.

## How It Works

1. **Make Predictions** — Choose 10 assets from a curated list. For each, predict whether the price will go UP (BUY) or DOWN (SELL).
2. **Prices Are Recorded** — Entry prices are locked at submission time. At settlement (typically 16:00 UTC), closing market prices are recorded.
3. **Scoring** — Each prediction is scored: Return = Direction x ((Closing Price - Entry Price) / Entry Price). The average return across all 10 predictions determines ranking.
4. **Winner** — The participant with the highest average return wins the prize.
